SUNY-Maritime defeated Baruch, 8-4, in a non-conference game played Thursday afternoon in Queens.

Maritime, which picked up their second win of the season, rallied from a 4-2 deficit highlighed by a grand slam home run in the sixth inning.

Freshman Max Loehrke (New York, NY/Brooklyn Tech) led the Bearcats with three hits and Dennis Treulieb (East Meadow, NY/East Meadow) hit his first home run with a two-run shot in the third inning.

Ricardo Estrada (Brooklyn, NY/Telecommunications) started and pitched before leaving with the lead.

Baruch (6-9, 4-4 CUNYAC) will face a very critical weekend with conference doubleheaders against John Jay & Staten Island.

The top four teams in the conference standings qualify for the conference tournament on the weekend of May 7-8 in Binghamton, New York
